Kate Moss Shares The Stories Behind Her Favourite Slip Dresses.

 For decades now, Kate Moss has been gracing red carpets in her signature silk slip dresses. Famously photographed in 1993 in a barely-there bias-cut maxi, the teenage Moss set the sartorial tone for things to come. From Alexander McQueen to Stella McCartney, she’s remained loyal to variations on the same silhouette ever since.

As Moss once more graces the cover of British Vogue to kick off 2021, the magazine revisits the May 2019 issue, when the supermodel revealed to British Vogue’s fashion news director Olivia Singer the stories behind some of her most memorable slip dress moments.

A 19-year-old Kate in a sheer slip at the Elite Model Agency Look of the Year party at the London Hilton: “I went with Jimmy B [hairstylist James Brown] and Corinne Day to the Elite party. I don’t know what I was doing there because it wasn’t my agency. It was the first time I really got papped. I had no idea why everyone was so excited — in the darkness of Corinne’s Soho flat the dress was not see-through!”
