El Chapo's daughter is set to launch a clothing and accessories line bearing the jailed druglord's name
Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán is set to introduce a clothing and accessories line branded in honor of her dad, Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán Loera.
The young woman, one of El Chapo's 10 children, recently started to promote the new line, El Chapo 701, on her Instagram and Facebook account.
The debut label's site, www.elchapoguzman.com, is still under construction, but lists a number of different items that consumers be able to get their hands on soon.
El Chapo 701 will produce t-shirts, jeans, dress shirts, outerwear, sombreros, shoes, swimsuits, a wide line of accessories, and liquor.
The site, set up in mid-January, describes El Chapo as a 'humble seller of oranges with many goals and great ambition' who is also 'proud of his roots ... and always present for his people.'
It also bills the former Sinaloa Cartel leader as a person filled with 'strong aspirations and ideals.'
El Chapo's daughter, who is in her 30s and describes herself as a fashion designer, recently sought to trademark 'El Chapo' and 'El Chapo Guzmán.'
The World Intellectual Property Organization lists two November 2018 trademark applications made by her, and a January 2019 application for 'El Chapo' as pending.
